4 Stars They took away my double shot!
This game edition was supposed to be a welcome addition into my collection.
The new characters, maps, and weapons are all nice.
The quarrel I have is that with rifles you can no longer shoot quickly; there is a substantial delay between shots.
There is no link between your character level or friends from the original Lost Planet. Your gamer tag from Lost Planet is reset so you start from level 1.
So basically, there are not many players that play colonies edition to begin with, they changed what I love about it, and when playing with PC users…you have a huge disadvantage when it comes to mouse/cursor aiming. (They have an unfair lean in their favor)
1 Star Gameplay Changes
The only BiG drawback to this game is that Capcom messed with some of the gameplay. They tweaked a bunch of the weapons and has now changed the way the game is played. They messed with the shotgun roll and shoot (you can no longer do it at the same time). Messed with the shot and reload of the sniper rifle and rocket launcher. Amongst many other tweaks. What really gets to me, is that Capcom never announced any of these gameplay changes before the game was release. I wish they just left the game the same and just added to it like they said they were doing. No enhancements or fixes were made to the online mode, so the game is still incredibly laggy. If I was you… I’d pass this game up. I wasted $30 dollars on it and regret it everytime I look at the game. And I was a HUGE fan of the first LP. Waste of time and $$$. Don’t buy it.
3 Stars OK Game
This game is okay, but could have used a few changes. I haven’t played the first Lost Planet, but i just bought this one, and i think this game is mediocre. I have a real problem with jumping and thermal energy. When you jump, you jump normally, then when you land, you stop. I find this extremely annoying, because it makes gameplay slower. I don’t like thermal energy either, because is kind of annoying to run and pick it up when you are fighting off giant monsters. I do like the energy gun in this game, though.
4 Stars Ummmm….really inexpensive
Got this for $10.00, free shipping with Prime. This could have been a game about watching grass grow and I still would have thought I got a good deal.
5 Stars Only An Expansion Pack - Great For Those New to Xbox
My son recently purchased an Xbox and this game. He enjoys this game a lot. Please note that this is an expansion pack game and will not be enjoyed by those that already have the original Lost Planet Extreme Condition game. The bad reviews are due to the disappointment of gamers seeking a new and different game. If you do not currently have the original Lost Planet game, you will most likely enjoy this one.
