4 Stars Great hockey experience
It has been a while since I have played sports games, but NHL 08 definitely has all the great things I remember about playing hockey back when the numbers after NHL started with a 9. The game play is great, the computer is not a total pushover, and the real players are there. Plus now I have so much control over my team and franchise, the experience is even better.
Maybe these old fingers (comparatively to most gamers) are a little slow to catch on with the new ways to shoot and play defense, but I still love playing this game.

I ordered the game for my son for his birthday. I had to call him and ask him how he liked it. He was very satisfied with it and enjoys playing it.

3 Stars Game was fun, but arrived broken
The game seemed alright. I only had a chance to play it a couple times and realized that it was defective. I sent it back to the seller and received a full refund.
3 Stars makes me shrug my shoulders
The game can be a lot of fun, its definitely a challenge. But while it has the potential for being a lot of fun, the controls are very different and somewhat difficult. I have been playing games my whole life, mainly sports games and this is probably the weirdest and most difficult controls I have ever had to play with. So while I want to play the game, because I like hockey games, i often shrug my shoulders and pick a different game because I’m not willing to put the effort in to play this game.
