1 Stars Complete Change of Direction for the Franchise (not good)
I enjoyed the previous Scene it! games for the Xbox so when I saw this new update on shelves I was excited (all be it mad that more DLC wasnt provided for the already released games) I took it home to play with my wife and was severely disappointed. All the character of the first two games, the themed back grounds and interludes, was removed and we are left with a generic trivia game that just happens to be about movies. With a phones in announcer and loss of Avatar support I really feel like this game was a step backwards for the franchise. Get the first two but not this one!!

1 Stars Do not buy this even if you like the other 2 Scene It games.
I completely agree with all of the 1-star reviews. This game is utter garbage. I fell in love with ‘Box Office Smash’ and played that game a lot and still continue to play the game so when I heard about a new Scene It game I got excited. The second I started playing this game I couldn’t help but think, “Uh oh… did I pick up the wrong game?” It looks nothing like the other 2 games and has nothing but solid color backgrounds rather than actual interesting things to look at and laugh at. The announcer, of whom is on screen most of the time, is a regurgitated Seth MacFarlane without an ounce of interesting in him and to top it all off, his mouth never moves along to what he’s saying… yay. To sum it up… the developers should be fired.

It has much newer movies and clever questions to go along with with the video clips. A must have for the Scene It fans.

4 Stars The best version of the movie trivia franchise
Why the Xbox360 game is better than the board game:

- Takes the best part of the board game (the DVD) and expands upon its use.

- Many more types of questions.

- Visceral interaction via the hand buzzers.

This third installment of the SceneIt series for the Xbox 360 makes yet another design reboot. Now players can earn stars for their “achievements” rather than points and use these stars to get bonuses during question rounds of their choice. This is much better than the random distribution of points given out like cake at a party.

Overall, you are going to get what you expect from this installment, but it is still the best of the three regardless. If you like movie trivia at this lower price point it is a no-brainer.
