1 Stars DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!!!
This seller is not in fact Microsoft trying to sell you an xbox. The reason why most of you are having problems is that these Microsoft ripoffs are selling you earlier models than those say, sold at Gamestop. The older models have many problems, but most to all of those problems are solved with the newer 2010 and 2009 models. I suggest you buy the Spring Bundle if your looking for an xbox. It comes with two games, Halo 3: ODST and Forza Motorsport 3(both of which are extremely good games), a 120 GB hard drive, a 2010 model Xbox 360 Elite, Composite A/V cables, a controller, a wired headset to talk to people, and you power brick for the Xbox. You can get this bundle for around $300 depending where you look, and I suggest buying it under the seller “Microsoft” and not “MICROSOFT” as is the seller of this console. If you wanna play in HD, you have to either buy Xbox 360 Component A/V cables or an HDMI cable. If you wanna connect to Xbox LIVE wirelessly your going to need to buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter for around $100, but there are cheaper alternatives you can find out there if you search it on Google. Sorry, thats just the way Microsoft makes money. But ya, buy a Spring Bundle and not whatever this is.

5 Stars Red Ring of Death is not the end of the world!!
I bought an Xbox 360 Elite as a Birthday gift for my husband. We use it everyday watching movies or playing games!! After two years we got the red ring of death! Yes we were very upset, we thought that we were going to have to buy a whole new system. We called Microsoft and they sent us shipping labels. We sent it back, THEY COVERED ALL OF THE SHIPPING COSTS!! Though they say that it may take 3 weeks to receive the product back it was only 2 weeks!!! They sent us back our console working like new!! Plus a months free subscription for XBOX Live for the inconvenience. My point is yes the red ring of death happens! Yes everyone knows that when they buy the Xbox that there is a chance it may happen. But Microsoft stands by their product and fixes the problem with no cost to you and even send you free stuff for your inconveniance. That is more then I can say for many companies. I am very happy with the Xbox 360 Elite and with Microsoft for standing by their products!

5 Stars 360
Very pleased. I recomend having xbox and ps3 in the house so you can enjoy all the titles you want and not have to have a downer because the game you want is only on ps3 and vice versa.

1 Stars Xbox 360 E74 Error
I purchased the Xbox 360 Elite from Gamesboutike for $230.00 in August, 2009. It was listed on Amazon as USED - LIKE NEW. By December 2009 the unit displayed an E74 error message. Per Microsoft instruction, I sent the unit in for repair. Microsoft returned the unit a few weeks later stating that the Xbox has been modified or tamperred with; therefore, the warranty has been voided. MS dispute resolution center advice that I should take my dispute with the retailer that sold me the unit if I did not tamper with it. Following MS’s advice I contacted Gamesboutike through Amazon. Gamesboutike responded and instructed me to send in the unit to them and that they would try to repair the unit themselves. About a couple weeks later after I shipped the unit to Gamesboutike, they responded that the unit was damage beyond repair due to some Xclamp reason and there is nothing else they can do for me. I responded to Gamesboutike to let them know that I’m the sole owner of the Xbox and I’m certain that the unit was never tampered with in anyway and that I would expect a full refund or a replacement. Gamesboutike never responds back to me nor did they ever return the Xbox.

The good thing for me is that I kept the receipt and document all my communications regarding my dispute with MS and Gamesboutike and took the dispute to the Credit Card Company that I used to purchase. After three months of ongoing dispute with a follow up phone call every two weeks or so with the credit card company, they finally agree to issue a full refund to my credit card as they take their dispute with the merchant’s bank. Hooray!

Although Gamesboutike has 96% positive rating when I purchase the Xbox, but from my experience with this company I would never buy anything from them again. The term caveat emptor apply here with this vendor.
